U Visa

U Nonimmigrant Status (U Visa) is reserved for victims of certain crimes, who have suffered physical or mental abuse and provide assistance to law enforcement agencies and government officials in the investigation or prosecution of criminal activity. Congress created the U Nonimmigrant Visa by passing the Victims of Human Trafficking and Violence Protection Act (including the Abused Immigrant Women Protection Act) in October 2000.

This legislation is aimed at strengthening the ability of law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute cases of domestic violence, sexual abuse, alien trafficking and other crimes, while protecting victims of crimes who have suffered mental abuse. or substantial physical property resulting from such crimes and are willing to assist law enforcement authorities in the investigation and prosecution of criminal activity. The legislation also helps law enforcement agencies better serve crime victims. (Source: www.uscis.gov)

VAWA

The family-based immigration process generally requires U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to file a petition for their non-citizen family members. Some petitioners may misuse the immigration process to abuse their noncitizen family members by threatening to suspend or withdraw the petition in order to control, coerce, or intimidate them.

With the passage of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and its subsequent reauthorizations, Congress provided noncitizens who have been mistreated or abused by their U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident family member the ability to independently petition on their own. themselves (self-petition) to an immigrant classification without the abuser's knowledge, consent, or participation in the immigration process. This allows victims to seek safety and independence from their abusers.

Spouses and children of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents, as well as parents of U.S. citizens who are 21 years of age or older, may file a self-petition for immigrant classification with USCIS. Typically, a noncitizen who files the self-petition is known as a VAWA self-petitioner. If USCIS approves the self-petition, VAWA self-petitioners can seek to obtain lawful permanent residence and obtain a permanent resident card (also known as a Green Card). This can be done through consular processing if the VAWA self-petitioner is outside the United States, or by applying for adjustment of status if the self-petitioner is in the United States. T-VISA

T nonimmigrant status is a temporary immigration benefit that allows some victims of a severe form of human trafficking to remain in the United States for up to 4 years if they have assisted law enforcement in an investigation or prosecution. acts of human trafficking. T nonimmigrant status is also available to some eligible family members of victims of human trafficking. T nonimmigrants are eligible for employment authorization and for certain federal and state benefits and services.

Congress created this status (commonly known as the T visa) in October 2000, as part of the Human Trafficking and Violence Victim Protection Act. White slavery, also called human trafficking, is a form of modern slavery in which traffickers use force, fraud or coercion to force people to provide jobs or services, including commercial sex. Traffickers often take advantage of people. T visas offer protection to victims and strengthen the ability of law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute acts of human trafficking. Under federal law, it is considered a “severe form of trafficking”:

Sex Trafficking: When someone recruits, harbors, transports, provides, solicits, sponsors, or obtains a person for the purpose of a commercial sexual act, in which the commercial sexual act is induced by force, fraud, coercion, when the person induced to do so is under 18 years of age, or

Labor trafficking: When someone recruits, harbors, transports, provides or obtains a person to perform labor or services through the use of force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of involuntary servitude, peonage, debt bondage or slavery.

  • Individual
Individual psychotherapy is psychological treatment in which emotional difficulties are addressed. In this process, the person (the client) establishes a relationship or professional alliance with the therapist who will help clarify, remove and/or modify symptoms of emotional distress, explore self-knowledge, and mediate behaviors that prevent the individual from reaching their human potential while promotes personal growth.

    As a couple
Couples therapy is a type of psychotherapy consultation designed to analyze and treat conflicts that arise within a romantic relationship. Depending on the type of problems a couple suffers from, the therapist adapts the treatment and the number and frequency of sessions to find the best solution for the relationship.

    Familiar
Family psychotherapy or family therapy is a different way of understanding and treating emotional problems and personal or family crises, since it does so by working with the entire family instead of with its members separately. Even if it is one member who shows the “problem,” the therapy is considered more effective if other family members are involved in the therapeutic process.

Group Therapy is a type of psychological therapy that is carried out with a group of people rather than with one person. While the term can technically be applied to any type of psychotherapy in which a group participates, it is associated with a specific type of therapy that makes use of group dynamics.

Within the group process, difficulties such as anxiety, depression and social skills are addressed, to name a few.

Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) began in the early 1970s as a model for how we communicate with ourselves and others. It was developed by Richard Bandler, John Grinder and others.

The NLP model gives us an explanation of how we process the information that comes to us from our environment. NLP focuses on the process, not the content of events.

The premise of NLP is that “The map is not the territory”, which is one of the assumptions of NLP. It means that our internal representations (I/R) that we create about an event are not necessarily the event itself.

We all label our experiences differently. An NLP trainer will honor your model of the world and work with you to make that world the most perfect for you, your family, and society.

Trained NLP trainers, at least any NLP trainer who has been trained by Tad James Co. or a graduate of Tad James Co., work with these presuppositions when they train you and guide you out of your problem state to your problem state. solution.

The assumptions of Neurolinguistic Programming based on the other's world model are:

Behavior and change must be evaluated in terms of context, and Ecology
Resistance in a client is a sign of lack of rapport. There are no resistant clients, only inflexible communicators. Effective communicators accept and use all communication that is presented to them.
People are not their behaviors. Accept the person; change behavior.
Everyone is doing the best they can with the resources they have available. Behavior is oriented toward adaptation, and current behavior is the best option available. All behavior is motivated by a positive intention.
Gauge behavior: The most important information about a person is that person's behavior.
The map is not the territory. The words we use are NOT the event or element they represent.
You are in charge of your mind and therefore your results (and I am also in charge of my mind and therefore my results).
People have all the resources they need to be successful and achieve their desired results. There are no people without resources, there are only states without resources.
All procedures must increase the Totality
There are ONLY comments! There is no failure, only feedback.
The meaning of communication is the Response you get.
The Law of Required Variety says that the system/person with the greatest behavioral flexibility will control the system.
All NLP procedures Designed to increase options.

EMDR therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach that works on the patient's innate information processing system.

This intrinsic system can become blocked for various reasons (e.g., deaths, abuse of all kinds such as psychological, emotional, physical, or sexual, etc.), which begins to generate a great diversity of symptoms in the patient ( e.g., fear, anguish, sadness, emotional and even physical pain, low self-esteem or beliefs such as: “I am worthless”, “I am stupid”, “I am damaged forever”, “I cannot express my emotions safely, " etc.).

This symptomatology, which in many cases is not initially treated, can end up generating a mental and emotional health disorder (e.g., depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, addictions, etc.) in the moment when some event in the person's life acts as a precipitating factor.
